I’m Katya Jones, a product designer based in Southern California with experience spanning diverse industries and user needs. My work has included designing medical devices that aid in stroke rehabilitation, creating innovative products for athletes and construction workers, developing consumer soft goods, and most recently designing hiking, camping, and lifestyle backpacks for the outdoor industry.

My career has allowed me to lead projects from concept to production, often balancing roles as both designer and project manager. I’ve collaborated directly with clients to transform their ideas into functional, user-friendly products rooted in thorough consumer and user research. I’ve worked hands-on to engineer quick samples and prototypes, ensuring early design concepts translate into manufacturable, market-ready products, while maintaining close communication with production teams.

The outdoor industry holds a special place for me, as it blends my professional expertise with my personal passions. Outside of work, you’ll often find me hiking, cycling, or learning to surf.
